ISCRR Development Grants are offered annually.

Development Grants provide researchers with the opportunity to investigate issues they have identified which could deliver tangible benefits to WorkSafe Victoria or the TAC in the short term. Development Grants support smaller scale projects conducted over a twelve month period and they may provide evidence for more extensive research projects in the future.

• Injury prevention in an ageing workforce: Professor Joan Ozanne-Smith, Monash University.

• Developing a framework for understanding and measuring occupational health and safety vulnerability: Dr Peter Smith, Monash University.

• The knowledge, skills and behaviours required by supervisors to facilitate a return to work after a mental disorder or musculoskeletal injury: Dr Venerina Johnston, University of Queensland.

• Multimodal MRI imaging in severe TBI patients to determine structural impact of DECRA craniectomy surgery and early prognostication: Pilot studies: Professor Jamie Cooper, Monash University

• Understanding how hypothermia impairs coagulation in severe TBI patients: Professor Jamie Cooper, Monash University

• Development of an integrated and distributed database for spinal cord injury: Dr David Berlowitz, Institute for Breathing and Sleep.

• Evaluation of quality of life outcomes for TAC and WorkSafe claimants with severe brain injury living in shared supported accommodation: Ms Libby Callaway, Monash University
