PhD Support

 

ISCRR supports the development of exceptional researchers in  safety, compensation and recovery.

We provide scholarships for PhD candidates commencing a research project relevant to the goals and mission of ISCRR and its industry partners, WorkSafe and the TAC.

Candidates must be eligible to enrol in, or be enrolled in, a Monash PhD stream. Candidates must also select a researcher based at ISCRR or a WorkSafe or TAC representative who agrees to act as a supervisor.

ISCRR is currently providing support to the following PhD projects:

Use of evidence in public policy environments in Australia. A case study. PhD candidate: Pauline Zardo; Supervisors: Dr Alex Collie, ISCRR; Professor Russell Gruen, Monash Faculty of Medicine  

Regulation of injury compensation systems. PhD candidate: Conan Brownbill; Supervisors: Professor Graeme Hodge, Monash Faculty of Law, Dr Alex Collie, ISCRR.  

Trends and risk factors for work-related disorders in Victoria. PhD candidate: Aleksandra Natora; Supervisors: Professor Malcom Sim, Monash Centre of Occupational & Environmental Health, Dr Peter Smith, IWH

The impact of medico-legal assessments of client recovery and experience in Victorian compensation systems. PhD candidate: Beth Kilgour; Supervisor: Dr Alex Collie
