The ageing population and workforce present some unique issues for OHS and compensation schemes. Also, there is a growing body of research on predictors of recovery from a compensable injury. The Impact of Social Factors research program will focus on the impact of ageing on OHS and compensation schemes and on clarifying the psychological and social predictors of recovery.

Our research to action program contains both research and practice components. It includes a baseline assessment of existing practices regarding the use of evidence by policy makers and the translation of research by academics at Monash University. It will also develop a best practice model of knowledge translation.

Neurotrauma Research

In 2011, the TAC asked ISCRR to manage $20 million over four years for new neurotrauma research, commencing in early 2012. Arrangements for this new responsibility are currently being finalised.
