Work plays a major role in our health and wellbeing. In
addition, the cost burden on employers as a result of the loss of
skilled staff through injury and delays in their return to work is
enormous.
This program of work about supporting people with an injury to
return to work will:
- develop and validate indicators that measure the rates,
efficiency and effectiveness of return to work following
intervention:
- assess the efficiency and effectiveness of components
within vocational injury compensation and regulation;
- develop evidence-based models of efficient and
effective health and disability services delivery for the personal
injury compensation sector;
- develop efficient and effective interventions for the
management of persistent pain and mental health conditions
following compensable injury.
