A new ISCRR research report commissioned by Safe Work Australia has recently been published. The research aimed to support the update of the Taking Action Framework—Australia’s national best practice framework for managing psychological injury claims in workers’ compensation.
The report synthesises contemporary evidence from more than 100 academic and grey literature sources, alongside insights from experts across the workers’ compensation sector. It identifies six key themes underpinning best practice, including:
The findings provide practical, evidence-informed recommendations to help ensure psychological claims management supports recovery while reducing the risk of further harm through the claims process.
