ISCRR was invited to present at the WHS Futures Symposium: Evidence Shaping Future Policy and Practice, at the National Wine Centre on 30 June 2026.
Associate Professor Ross Iles and Professor Sarah Anderson presented on an often-overlooked issue in the workers’ compensation sector: the millions of workplace injuries that are not captured in workers’ compensation data. Their presentation highlighted the need to better understand the full impact of workplace injury beyond those who lodge compensation claims.
The program featured keynote presentations on the challenges associated with emerging technologies (Emeritus Professor Malcolm Sim), developments in psychosocial safety research (Professor Tony LaMontagne), and how research should inform future work design (Professor Sharon Parker).
The symposium also showcased research on measuring workplace psychosocial factors, improving safety for migrant workers, and addressing industry-specific challenges across construction, rail and healthcare.
