ISCRR engages in research and evaluation across various projects, where we design, test, and assess programs, pilots, and interventions, with a particular focus on mental health, workplace injury, and recovery. Through our work, ISCRR is increasingly engaging with individuals who have lived or living experience, as well as experts on how to include lived experience into research. Recognising a significant gap, we identified the need for a policy and procedural guide to direct and inform our efforts.

Six months in the making, we are proud to release the Institute’s first Lived and Living Experience Policy. The ISCRR Lived and Living Experience policy is a representation of our values and principles. It’s the first of its kind at Monash University.

The policy went through extensive internal and external consultation. We acknowledge and thank the numerous stakeholder groups at WorkSafe Victoria, Monash Centres and Institutes, industry experts and consultants with Lived and Living Experience, who gave their time generously to inform the policy to ensure the language was inclusive, aligned and well-defined.
