In October, Professor Sarah Anderson took the stage at the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA) Congress 2025 to deliver her presentation “Managing Psychosocial Hazards in the Prosthetics and Orthotics Workplace: Meeting Proactive Legislative Requirements”. The talk addressed how workplaces in the prosthetics and orthotics sector can align with rising expectations around psychosocial safety in light of the emerging legislative requirements in Victoria.

Sarah brings more than two decades of dedicated experience in healthcare research, policy development and strategic leadership. Her expertise spans ergonomics and human factors (she holds a PhD in this field) with a focus on workplace injury prevention, workforce development, and translating complex research into practical policy.

In her own words ahead of the Congress, she shared she was “looking forward to merging so many parts of my 25+ years of work together”.
